Owners Cathi Clark Bell and Mike Bell

Born in Starke and Orange Park, Mike and Cathi grew up in Keystone Heights and graduated from KHHS. High school sweethearts, they married in 1985 after graduating in Civil Engineering and Marketing from the University of Florida. Job opportunity took them both south to Sarasota for 35 years until in 2019 they purchased a family home in Keystone Heights. Traveling back and forth as much as time would allow was not enough as they both felt like they were home when in Keystone Heights. It was an easy decision to reside permanently in their hometown and invest in their community. With Mike's engineering and renovation background and Cathi's love and experience with marketing and event planning, Events At Magnolia Place was born! They are blessed to share Magnolia Place with locals looking for a special place to celebrate, grow and give back. A large focus of Magnolia Place is offering a hometown resource for charity, fundraising and supporting our community.

Event Planner Cathi Clark Bell

Inspired by her mother, Patti Clark, Cathi was raised to celebrate life and to help others reach their best. Christmas was a favorite time in the Clark home with every  room decorated and decked with Christmas trees large and small. The dock and driveway were not left out, they had trees too! Every holiday was a reason to get the family together and celebrate. Crafting and recycling was a big part of decorating when money was tight, but the feeling was always warm and welcoming. Growing up watching her mother decorate and plan Miss KHHS pageants taught Cathi the invaluable lesson of making the most of every moment for others. Cathi planned and decorated over 50 events and fundraisers for schools, non-profits and friends with no compensation other than knowing the good it would bring. She is excited to bring her expertise and years of collecting thousands of items and decorations to create more special memories for those in her hometown and the surrounding areas.

Events At Magnolia Place History

Formally the property of St. Anne's Episcopal Church, the site previously included a 2686 sq ft Fellowship Hall, the Pastor's Home, and the Chapel. The Chapel was built in 1965 and the hall in 1976. It remained a working house of worship until a local purchased the property from the church to open a ministry offering meetings, outreach and seminars. After the mission was moved, it sat unused for several years until new owners, Mike and Cathi Bell purchased the property. With a poor economy, unfortunately it sat for several more years until the Chapel was renovated by the Bells in 2024 for Victory Way Church of God to debut in town. The church occupied the Chapel and Fellowship hall for a couple of years before relocating to Lawtey in early 2026. With Cathi's plethora of decorations and events planned over the past several decades, the vision for Events At Magnolia Place began!
